Rare Couple of Chinese Chairs, Qing Dynasty
Pair of Chinese chairs made of precious elm wood. The perfect balance between minimal deign and the sinuous lines of the round carved friezes, creating a couple of chairs with an aesthetic impact like no other. The seatback is finely carved and depicting a dragon, symbol of imperial authority and strength. Frieze is also presents in the lower part of the chairs. Originally designed to accommodate important guests, were usually used by the imperial dignitary and his wife. Now make it unique home furnishing the room with elegance and style.
